About the Museum

When the World War II Victory Museum opened its doors to the public in early 2003, the museum's vehicle collection was displayed without interpretation, closely resembling the concept of open storage. This was largely due to a practical consideration: opening our doors quickly so that as many WWII veterans as possible would be able to enjoy the museum.

In early 2004 the World War II Victory Museum embarked upon a project of detailed planning and development of galleries and exhibits. Since then, the appearance and experience of the museum's exhibition hall has dramatically changed.

The museum continues to work diligently on the development of its permanent exhibits. Upon completing the development of its exhibit halls, the museum expects to feature fully integrated and interactive exhibits, combining the museum's outstanding collection of vehicles and micro artifacts with dioramas, A/V stations, and interactive displays. The museum is working to achieve this goal as quickly as available resources and time allow. Upon completion, the World War II Victory Museum expects that its galleries will provide visitors with one of the most comprehensive, compelling, and uniquely educational experiences about World War II.
